Privacy Policy

What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.Last updated

This website is run by CalyxSol (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email us at hello@calyxsol.com.

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we receive:

  • your name and email address
  • your company or project name, if you give one
  • your message
  • any optional details you choose to add: the kind of project, a budget range and a timeline

When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.

We don’t use analytics or advertising trackers, and this website doesn’t set cookies. We don’t sell your information, and we won’t add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

  • to read and reply to your enquiry
  • to discuss a possible project with you, and to keep a record of that conversation
  • to protect the contact form from spam and abuse. For this, your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit repeated submissions. It isn’t stored with your enquiry.

Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries people send us and in keeping the website secure. If we go on to work together, we process information as needed to agree and carry out that work.

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:

  • our website hosting provider
  • our email delivery provider (currently Resend), which passes contact form enquiries to our inbox
  • our email provider, where enquiries and replies are stored

We may also disclose information if we are required to by law. Some of these providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the provider offers for international transfers.

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to reply and to follow up on any work that results. If we don’t end up working together, we delete the enquiry once it’s no longer needed.

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@calyxsol.com and we’ll respond as required by the law that applies to you. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.

If we change how we handle information, for example by adding analytics, we’ll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
